Aqua-Block Bvba

I would like to share my recent experience with Aqua-Block Bvba. They installed edge drainage for us in Genk, and unfortunately I am anything but satisfied. The quality of the work was substandard and little attention was paid to the finishing. The planning was chaotic and there was a lot of confusing communication. In addition, a lot of dirt was left behind after the work was completed. Definitely not recommended. Aqua block is a company you absolutely do not want to deal with if you have moisture problems in your basement. When making the quote, a representative came by who wanted to apply work that was completely unnecessary in our case. See in the quote it is written that recesses have to be made in our inner walls that we do not have, there is also talk of a pump pit where the water DRAINS OFF which they then also cannot install due to a lack of craftsmanship. As can be seen in the photos, a supposedly better pump has been installed that does not do the job it is supposed to do. A made-up price for work that they actually did not want or need to carry out. In the photos you can see that a wall has been placed along the inner wall of our basement, which remains full of water that does not drain to the point where the pump is located, the company says that it is normal that water remains everywhere and that we have the wrong idea and are too stupid to understand this. The gutter has not been made to slope so the pump with sensor continues to see water that it cannot pump and therefore continues to run dry. After this the company came up with the idea to place the sensor on a piece of rubble that they found at another site, so that the pump only runs when there is a centimeter of water, so according to them this was a better idea than a pump pit. I say that I am worried that we will have to install a new pump every month because this one keeps jumping on and off and the pump clearly runs dry and cavitates. Furthermore, it can also be seen in the photos that the company clearly leaks their wall where the pump is located and it can be seen that the gutter simply continues to be filled with water from front to back because it does not drain gradually and there is an unnecessary amount of spillage of concrete and so-called waterproofing compound. The last time the company came by, we spoke to them about this because this was not the image of the work that they promised and you can find information about edge drainage on the internet. The company also said that they would not grind into the concrete because they would damage the concrete deck and that would then be our problem while they first tried to sell us this as discussed in the quote. A discussion arose here to which the company responded that they would bow down and could whistle for our guarantee and we did not yet know what they were capable of. The last email they sent is again an option to easily get away with installing another pump. Hopefully people read this before you contact this company

Na een telefonisch contact kwam Aqua-Blok terplaatse om ons probleem van vocht in de kelder te bekijken. Er werd geluisterd naar mijn wensen, waarop een goede uitleg gegeven werd over de verschillende mogelijkheden. De offerte volgde kort daarop. Het viel mij op dat de prijs van de offerte onder de prijs lag van de andere firma’s die gecontacteerd werden voor hetzelfde probleem. Het karwei zelf werd vlot, proper en professioneel uitgevoerd ! Op het einde van de dag werd door hen zelfs de gang gepoetst om het vele stof op te kuisen. Dit had ik nog niet eerder meegemaakt bij het laten uitvoeren van werken. Deze firma is in mijn ogen dat ook een aanrader om mee in zee te gaan. !!!
