"Negligent maintenance Chaudral: dangerous boiler and damage"
A certified technician at Chaudral recently issued an official maintenance and inspection certificate for the gas boiler in my home in Gentbrugge. This certificate is registered with the Flemish Government and therefore has value in the context of legislation, safety and insurance. Indirectly this implies that the boiler was found to be safe and therefore showed no visible defects or defects. Also, that all actions have been taken by this person to provide the gas boiler with complete and properly maintained maintenance, with the aim of exposing invisible defects. In concrete terms, the maintenance was carried out on January 17, 2024. An expert had to visit the weekend of January 27 to 28, 2024 due to a defective gas boiler. An analysis was done. Finally, a new gas boiler was installed this week, because it could not be repaired. On the one hand, the expert determined that the air vent had a water leak that could be visually determined to be a leak. On the other hand, it turned out (see attached image) that the exhaust smoke pipe was completely blocked by soot that had accumulated. Given the fact that cleaning this exhaust smoke pipe is included in official maintenance, and checking this is mandatory, I ask questions about Chaudral's service. Given the (high) chance of damage to the home as a result of a possible fire hazard, and the If proper maintenance is not carried out, I feel compelled to share this information with the outside world.
