Inaccurate insulation and brick slips, poor communication
Unfortunately, our experience with IsoStone bvba was anything but smooth. They came to insulate our facades and install brick slips, but the quality left much to be desired. The work was very inaccurate and the price did not match the original quote which was very disappointing. Furthermore, communication left much to be desired; it was often chaotic and confusing. Also the place was left messy. A disappointment all in all.

Disappointing insulation works: poor communication, cold bridges and extra costs
Warning to potential customers: IsoStone/IsoGroup disappointing experience Unfortunately, we have to express our disappointment with our experience with IsoStone/IsoGroup, and feel compelled to warn others about this. We chose this company because of the promising (technical) explanations presented during the sale, but unfortunately these promises were never fulfilled. 🔴 Cold bridges present after insulation work: When drawing up the quotation for the insulation work, we were assured that this company will work in detail to close all cold bridges. Grinding reveals on windows and doors was a reason for us to choose this company. Unfortunately, this promise was not kept, resulting in cold bridges around every window. This was not only disappointing, but also costly, given the higher price we paid compared to other providers. 🔴 Administrative errors and unreasonable costs: Another significant setback was the administrative error in the quotation regarding a bluestone plinth with a sloping edge, a proposal from the then manager. The wrong materials were ordered and delivered, and IsoStone/IsoGroup did not want to compensate for this. The correction/solution was presented at an additional cost of 3000 euros (for a skirting board of only 8 meters), which is completely out of proportion. Other service providers charged less than half this price for custom-making the bluestone facade plinth that we had originally requested. 🔴 Terrible communication and delays: Communication with the company left a lot to be desired, with email response times of at least 3-4 weeks. No Dutch or English was spoken on site, although this was guaranteed during the sales phase. Requests for another project manager were ignored, and delays were wrongly attributed to us as the customer. We signed the quote at the end of 2021 with a final waiting period of 24 months (2 years) for the start of works, which was significantly longer than we were originally told. Although IsoStone/IsoGroup staff had estimated in advance that the project would take five weeks, it ultimately took 13 months to complete. We can of course understand some delays due to bad weather, but 13 months was again an extreme disappointment. 🔴 Negligence on site: During this 13 month period the site was always left dirty and messy as the company chose not to clear waste in one go until the end of the project. This negligence caused damage to part of our garden, for which we had to bear the costs of its reconstruction. ⚠️ In conclusion, we would never choose this company again. Our experience with IsoStone/IsoGroup was far from satisfactory. Hopefully this feedback can assist others in making informed decisions.

Was a very frustrating period.
Agreements made are not kept: Would start work after 6 months ... that is 1 ½ years. Then call 2 days before the start of work… . Then send foreign workers, with whom no communication was possible. Get a mobile phone number from a site manager (who was never reachable). Emails are not responded to. Workmen very slow – sloppy – dirty and according to several passers-by they were more busy with their mobiles than working. Left everything dirty and damaged. My driveway is full of grout stains, my PVC windows have been damaged during final cleaning with a high-pressure dirt blaster – ventilation grilles are still not hanging. They did not update our roof nicely (now have bird nests in the attic. This entire renovation has been a struggle. The only positive thing I can say is “that our facade is beautiful from afar”.
